Circle of Jean Chalette (Troyes 1581-1643 Toulouse) An alliance between the King of England and the King of France, possibly depicting the Treaty of Picquigny oil on panel 42 x 29¼ in. (106.6 x 74.2 cm.) This scene is most likely a depiction of the Treaty of Picquigny (19 August 1475), which officially ended the Hundred Year War. The present composition can be compared to the Marriage of King Louis XIII of France to Anne of Austria in the Musée des Augustins, Toulouse.
