no trick or treat came from spirits who would wander the earth that day, and humans were scared and couldn’t find away to avoid these spirits they would say home and feed them food and treats on there door ways to feed the hungry spirits so they wont destroy there yard and haunt them.

@cartoonkingforeever CHRISTmas is not pagan to CHRISTians. Although? we know that Dec. 25 is not the actual date of the birth of Jesus Christ, Christians celebrate Christmas to remember that the Son of God willingly came to earth to fulfill what was necessary to make the way for mankind to be able to come back into fellowship/relationship with God. Oh, and there is only one God, in three manifestations, Father, Son, & Holy Spirit, the Trinity.
@barriolimbas I think it’s unfair to say that all Neo-pagans are former Christians; while that is true for many of them, just as many come from traditions of Judaism, Buddhism, or any number of others.

I too state that there is a diffence between the true followers of Yeshua who absolutely refuse to recognize the pagan ritual days such as Samhain and EAster(yes, Easter is pre Christian in origin!).. with those who have been deceived into thinking of them as harmless practices.. the early believers followed the teachings of Yeshua who observed Mosaic law and came as a fulfillment of Torah..

Christians used to be pagans hence the Christianization of former “pagan” holidays, to keep the fun and tradition flowing. With all due respect Neo-pagans are actually Christians/Agnostics who have been dissatisfied with current society and became new age. FYI all religions have faults/dark sides, no sense in romantisizing the lesser popular ones. A mature conscience that knows how to recognize both truth and bullshit is a better guide to one’s life.
